Need help with a Sunday lunch in or close to Norridge. (We have a 90 year old in a wheelchair-so parking lots are preferred.) Can't be Chinese or Thai-anything else would work. None of the Rosemont located places seem to be open on Sunday except for Harry Carey's bar-area. Has anyone been there for Sunday lunch? I'm thinking it may be an afterthought for them, and the food could be below what they usually put out.
    Any thoughts?

Gibson's is open Sunday Lunch. I haven't been, but a friend of my wife waxed poetic about Edelweiss, German/American.

i second both of the choices here. Edelweis is really good German and great escape is a very solid choice as well. Admittedly I have mainly eaten the ribs there which are pretty good but I have heard positive reviews of other dishes there as well.

Thanks to all. Earlier in the week, the Gibson's website indicated they were not open until dinner on Sundays, which is not true. Great Escape is a new one for me. Edelweiss has been hit and miss in the past, but I have to admit the miss was on a xmas eve dinner, with an almost empty house, and a staff member that was reluctant to make the reservation.

    Try:

Chambers (near Norwood on Milwaukee if I remember correctly)
    Gale Street Inn (Jefferson Park)
    Don Juans Mexican (Edison Park)
    Hay Carumba Mexican (Park Ridge)
    Blue Angel (Gladstone Park)

Sorry for being a day late...

A decent family restaurant is Big Top
Located on Higgins just east of Nagle.

The have many specials on Sunday ---
including A Hot Prime Rib sandwich (think hot Beef or hot Turkey)
You get a good thick slice of Prime Rib and choice of Potato...
Plus choice of salad or soup, all for about $ 10 ( plus beverage)
Me and Mrs Jazzman usually get here once or twice a month for this special.

The also have decent Ice Cream Creations and fressh bakery goods from Sweet Connections.

Other menu selections are Gyros with homemade sauce.-- the Gyro plate is about $8.

Late Night, The special menu contains and excellent super burger (ask them to broil it)
and a very good Rib Eye Steak Sandwich. Both with a cup of soup for about $ 8.
