Salt & Pepper
at the Morton Grove Public Library
SATURDAY, March 26 at 1:00 pm
Tom and Patty Erd, owners of The Spice House, return to the Morton Grove Public Library for a special presentation about salt and pepper. Pepper is known as the "king of spices", and is the most common and most consumed spice in the world. Salt, while technically a mineral and not a spice, is used as the basis of seasoning in nearly every cuisine. Join The Spice House to find out how a common rock and an Indian berry became the pairing for everyday use, found on tables worldwide and shaken casually on billions of dishes every day.
This is a free lecture open to the public, but registration is required. Sign up on the Morton Grove Public Library website, or call their Reference Desk at 847-929-5101.
