Hiking Starved Rock

Our spring break tradition almost always includes a day trip to Starved Rock...but of course, we go when the weather is good - which often isn't when Cajun Connection is open (otherwise, it's a no-brainer.)

I know we aren't alone in needing a post-hike place to eat. There are a couple threads on eats in nearby towns, so I thought I'd aggregate them in one place, along with everyone's suggestions for a quick lunch and a decent dinner. Places that take sweaty, dirty, hungry families are a requirement.
