Emails just started going out. They extended the first batch to the first 1,000 people that signed up.

Just was able to log in and get reservations at 8:30 on June 4th! pumped
FYI I just typed my email into the first time box on the left and it sent me a password instantly that let me login and chose just about any day and time...

Does anyone know what dates they will be selling tickets for? May 1-July 31?

It's not a local browser cache issue, it's a DNS cache issue. It sounds like whoever switched the system over to live didn't do it until this morning, and DNS transfers can take 12-48 hours to propagate across the entire web. Many users won't be able to access the "live" site until tomorrow or later...now, it's possible someone could post the IP and there could be workarounds, but there's not much a user can do on their end if the live site doesn't appear when they enter www.nextrestaurant.com. Personally, I was able to access the login page earlier today, but now I'm not. It sucks, because I have a password to buy tickets and I can't get to the site.

How long did it take you to receive the password? Been waiting 15 minutes for the password email.

I came here to ask the exact same question - waiting 15 minutes too. We must have been part of the same email blast.

They are selling tickets to the end of June.

I got the e-mail that said I was 'chosen' and had a friend whose DNS is updated enter my e-mail in the generate password screen. 10 minutes later I had my password. He was able to go in and book me seats for April 20th.

My email went to my spam folder, but before realizing this, I decided to try out the site (based on the statement that emails went out to the first 1,000, and that there were 1,000 on the first day, including me). I requested a password, it was sent immediately, and the rest was smooth sailing. I'm booked for a party of 4 ($83/person) + standard wine pairings ($48/person) at 8:45 on Thursday, June 30 (closing night? I booked that date under that assumption, thinking that it might be interesting to see the last of Paris 1906...sort of like closing night of a show.)

I may have a free slot - if this is true, as the date gets closer, I will definitely keep LTHers in mind! :)

I was finally able to access the site myself and got the following:
    Ticket Sales are currently Off-Line
During our beta phase, ticket sales are online between 10 AM and 7 PM CST Monday through Friday.

Looks like they may be a bit overwhelmed.

Seems like they're having lots of technology issues, judging by the irate posts on Next's Facebook page. I had no trouble getting tickets at 3:00.

In case you want to go to Next tonight, Nick Kokonas just posted this on Facebook:

At 4 PM we will shut down sales for tonight and move to Same Day tickets... you can email openingnight@nextrestaurant.com and let us know how many in your party and your preferred time. If we have something close we will give you a call... include phone # please.

[Edited to fix e-mail address, which Kokonas got wrong in his initial post.]

Yes, first you see a calendar grid. When you click on a day, it shows the times/table-sizes available and the corresponding prices all on one screen. When you click on the one you want it moves you to a screen to add wine/non-alcoholic pairings. The cost is constantly updated on the screen as you customize and includes tax and a 18% service charge.

Kind of unreal. I was thinking of buying a second table and trying to move it on the secondary market, but a friend at work was really interested so I got it and sold it to him at face value.

Something just seems "off" about scalping a restaurant reservation. I dunno. If Uncle Sam wasn't asking for his April 15th (18th this year) payment from me maybe I'd have been a bit more free wheeling with my $.
