We're going to try to hit Summerfest tomorrow night (probably traffic suicide, but what the heck), and I'm looking for best of their fest.

Remembrances from past years include outstanding fried eggplant sticks from an italian place, and some decent middle eastern in the area near the north entrance, but it could vary from year to year.

    Any experiences yet for 2005?

I went Friday night and had fried cheese curds (pretty good, but I prefer them raw n' unadulterated) and BOILED CRAWFISH ($6.50)!!! As an ex-New Orleanian, I really do have to give them props; the crawfish weren't among the best I've ever had, but they certainly filled my longing for them. However, I have to warn you that they came heavily spiced (definitely okay by me, but my Wisconsin comrades were a bit blown away). My hosts said that a stellar BBQ pulled pork sandwich is offered from the same vendor from whom we got the fried cheese curds (I apologize, I can't recall their name).

Also, be prepared to spend $4 PLUS for 12 oz beers....
