    Having leftover wine usually isn't a problem, but tonight's dinner plans are still up in the air a bit. Are you allowed to take home unfinished wine from a BYOB (or any restaurant for that matter) in Chicago? No worries about driving as we'll be walking or bussing.

    I tried to search but didn't come up with an answer.

    Yes. I don't know specifically about byob but last night, we took home 1/2 bottle of unfinished red from Joe's at Grand/Rush. They put it in a plastic bag with the receipt inside the bag and seal it.

    As long as it's recorked and inside of a paper or plastic bag, you can take it with you.
