Vegetarian friendly lunch near Wacker & Michigan?

My CEO is entertaining a visitor who is pure vegetarian i.e. dairy products are okay, but no eggs, meat or fish. Any suggestions for some reasonably healthy options near Wacker & Michigan (pizza & sushi aren't options).

How formal of a place are you seeking? Pastoral at 50 E Lake St. is a small gourmet market with excellent sandwiches, including vegetarian ones, but it is probably too informal for a C-level lunch. There are only a few tables at Pastoral and they often are full around lunchtime. Sable at 505 N State is a few blocks away, but may be a good option for you. Good luck.

How about South Water Kitchen?

Besides a good grilled cheese, they've got real vegetarian entrees and appetizers. I've done business lunches there and like it.

BTW, my CEO's not a fan of South Water Kitchen's food (dubbed the oatmeal watery & didn't care for the lunch menu options), though he likes the space. The Gage menu was very appealing & it looks like it has some nice veg options plus an ideal location.
