Any chance I can buy a Merkts cheese spread in Chicago, or do I have to make a run to the border? Also, what would be a good alternate option available in Chicago?

    Thanks.

Should be pretty commonly available. I buy mine at Treasure Island or Pete's Market (although Pete's only started carrying Merkt's and its cousin Kaukauna in the last year or so). I'm almost positive they have it at most Jewels, too.

    HI,

I saw Merkts and Kaukauna yesterday at Jewel. Kaukauna was buy one get one free.

I see it all the time at Walt's Food Centers in the southern suburbs.

Thanks. I couldn't find it the first time I looked in my nearby Dominick's because it wasn't located in the cheese section, but a specialty section.
