Post #1 - June 9th, 2011, 9:37 amHave to schedule a client dinner on Monday near the Washington Covention Center. I know there is a small Chinatown nearby, but proabaly looking for something a bit more upscale (without being crazy expensive)....type of food does not matter....just a place have a mellow meal that won't break my entertainment limit (about $40 a person or thereabouts)...like to avoid chains, but OK as long as it's a notch or two above Chilli's, Houlihans, etc.....

You can view results on a map, and sort the list by distance, name, or editor's picks. I've had to stay in the convention center area occasionally for work, and it's not as restaurant-rich as other parts of DC, but it looks like there are some suitable options for you: 701, Cafe Atlantico, Clyde's at Gallery Place, Hill Country, Jaleo, Oya, Proof, The Source, Zaytinya, Acadiana, Asia Nine ... ? Next time I go to DC I want to try Acadiana.
