    Hi,

Interesting vintage stuff he has on his blog. I have half a pair of salt and pepper shakers I never knew much about. The Roman Arches salt shaker by McKee in cobalt blue. I don't miss the pepper, because we grind it fresh.

    Thanks for posting!

    Regards,
    Cathy2

I figured I would add to the conversation...

In regards to the Pyrex Flameware, I have to admit that I purchased the 3-piece set for my own kitchen. Brand new - never used blue glass. Pyrex has the Flameware pots and double boilers as well - with glass handles - very cool. Interestingly, the Pyrex Percolators are shown in old recipe books and ads being used as pots for boiling corn on the cob, pasta, and such. I still just use ours for coffee.

In regards to other pots and pans, I wasn't quick enough to grab a beautiful yellow Dansk Kobenstyle enamel pan, with a wooden handle, at a sale last week. Very disappointed. The design was amazing, but I have no idea how they cook. I'm hoping to get my hands on a set of Revere Ware Stainless Steel Copper Bottomed pots and pans this weekend. Fingers crossed. Again, I think that find will be for my own kitchen...
