The Daley Plaza farmers market has a stand run by Amish (you'll know it by the way the women dress) that sells a variety of mostly baked goods. The also offer a candy called "Pecan Crunch" and "Cashew Crunch." It's a bit like peanut brittle, but much better, in my opinion. It's not as hard or quite as sweet and thus has more of a taste and chew than brittle. Also, using pecans and cashews is a big improvement over peanuts. They are generally happy to give a taste sample, so you can try it out before committing.

Sounds a lot like what I remember from my youth at either the Sears or Carson's candy counters as Pecan Glaze. There's less 'brittle', and it's a darker, more caramel-tasting glaze, with roasted-flavored nuts -- a huge improvement over peanut brittle.

On a related note, years ago I made General Tso's chicken and had a lot of glaze left from that, and used it to make peanut brittle which was awesome. The orange and chile were terrific with the salt and sweet. I tried to replicate it later and did not succeed.
