hi, might try doing a rib roast in the oven and was wondering if there were any recommendations for a good meat thermometer.

ideally with probe that i can stick in the roast, and maybe electronic so it will alarm when the time is right? wireless even better.

alternately, any good thermometer recs would be appreciated.

    thanks

I've had good luck with Maverick remote probe thermometers.

Seconded. I've been using the same one for about four years now without issue.

Just heed the manual and avoid getting water inside the probe - that can instantly ruin it.

Seconded, I love my Thermoworks probe thermometer. I use it for baking bread, roasting meat-- even use it on the stovetop for making caramel and other candies.
