I am looking for a diner/pancake restaurant near Westmont, Willowbrook, Darien, Burr Ridge, Western Springs or Oak Brook where five ladies can eat pancakes or omelets and plan a bridal shower. Nothing fancy, we just need just comfortable surroundings and good coffee. I saw there's a place called Juicy-O in Willowbrook. Any other thoughts or suggestions? Thank you.

I have been to the JuicyO in Downers Grove (I believe) It is in the mall on Butterfield just east of 355. I use it to meet business associates because of its proximity to the highway, but I have never been rushed or bothered if I stayed long and I have always enjoyed the food and the coffee. If the Willowbrook location is similar, It should fit your needs well. Especially if you go off peak hours.

I've eaten at the Naperville Juicy-O's location many times. (Never been to the Downers Grove location, though it is very near my office). When I was first there, I noticed a drawing that resembled Jimmy Bannos from Heaven on Seven on the menu. I asked the staff and they didn't know anything about a connection. A quick peak on Google and I see he is co-owner of Juicy-O's. My son loves the little bowl of little donuts that are brought to your table, free. I have never been rushed and for that reason, this might be a good option.

My new favorite breakfast place is Prasino in LaGrange. The coffee/tea/drinks and food are pretty good and it's a nice atmosphere. I used to go to Eggstacy in Oakbrook Terrace but haven't been there in a long time so I don't know how it is now.

We've been to Juicy-O in Downers Grove for breakfast a few times and always enjoyed it. Nice staff, a menu with lots of variety and good coffee. We have found the quality to be a cut above other restaurants of that kind. The little plate of complimentary donuts is nice too.

Moondance Diner has locations in both Burr Ridge and Westmont. I used to work near the Burr Ridge location and they do an very good breakfast, with the focus on fresh ingredients.

Juicy-O in Willowbrook at 63rd street and Rt. 83 is very good. I have been there several times. Another good choice is Blueberry Hill Pancake house in Darien on Rt 83 (Near 75th street IIRC) Great Omelets there in addition to excellent pancakes.
