I live in Schaumburg. There are many solid places to eat in the area - just not at 11 pm on a Wednesday.

Probably true - but Schaumburg is right next to Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park, so there are other options. But yes, 11pm is a touch late.. (even 10pm would give you far more options).

There are, as Habibi says, *tons* of South Asian places around there. BBQ Tonight is pretty good (I prefer it to Salt & Pepper).. I think S&P is a 10pm close, BBQ Tonight might actually be an 11pm close. Ive heard good things about Saffron in Schaumburg (but havent tried them - they are also 10pm I believe). Ive heard Vishnu Vilas has the best vegetarian Indian food around (and also has some good non-veg food).. also not tried, but also I believe a 10pm close..there is now a branch of JK Kabab House (original at Devon is very good) near there too.

Two potential options IMHO. There are a couple of Mexican taquerias in Hanover Park, on and just off Barrington Road, which are open late. One supposedly pretty good one is sorta on Barrington Road, strip-mall perpendicular to Barrington Road (same strip mall as a Giordanos IIRC.. or maybe a Gino's East?). Thats open late.. they even do birria Ive been told (Ive only had a torta there, which was good). And there are at least 2 taquerias on Irving Park Road (between Elgin-Ohare expressway and Barrington Road), which are open late - at least one of them is open till midnight (Ive definitely eaten at one of them past 11pm).

One other option I often use myself.. drive onto Arlington Heights, to Golf Road and Arlington Heights road intersection, turn right.. and in a block of so you'll get Johnnie's Italian Beef. Its not at its very best at 11pm, due to turnover reasons - but a beef/sausage combo with fries and Lemon Ice is still pretty damn good for that time of night (its one of only 2 Johnnies in Chicagoland, and IMHO Johnnies does the best combo in the city).

Shiiiieeee c8w, you just saved me*. I used to be a regular at that Johnnie's. It'll do perfectly at 11pm.

*Thanks for everyone's efforts flying in from LAX, I really don't wanna be doing birria in the NW burbs close to midnight.
