Brownhub.com is a newly launched Chicago daily deal website providing one deal per day at over 50% discount from local South Asian, Mediterranean and other ethnic businesses. Brownhub.com is bringing you deals of delicious meals from your famous restaurants in Chicago and of course they will be local South Asian, Mediterranean and other ethnic restaurants. These daily deals in Chicago will make it easier for you to purchase your favorite food at very low price and from good restaurant in Chicago. Brownhub.com is dedicating itself to provide benefits to the consumers and businesses in Chicago.

Brownhub.com will feature one deal daily on their websites and these deals would be from your local restaurants. These deals would be for a limited period of time and for a limited number of people. You will be able to purchase this restaurant deal instantly, but you will get the restaurant discount vouchers after the minimum number of consumers have purchased this deal. All these purchasers will be given relevant restaurant coupons in Chicago through emails or mails and they must show these restaurant coupons to the Chicago restaurant, who offered that deal, to redeem their deals. This way, consumers will be able to enjoy delicious and expensive meals at high discounted prices and local restaurants will be able to boast their sales and attract lots of new and regular customers.

So, just to clarify, and I'm honestly not trying to be snide, this will be like Groupon, but with only restaurants (not restaurant coupons interspersed with laser hair removal or teeth whitening deals)?

I think there's more to it than that. After all, the website says "Never pay full price again with the unique concept of group buying."

Don't forget to check out their privacy policy and TOS.

I guess this is what you'd call a very soft launch.

If you want to compare brownhub with Groupon, then you right if it is in term of group buying concept only. However, there are many things that differs brownhub from Groupon, like brownhub feature one deal a day and from Chicago based South Asian/ Mediterranean/ Arab and other ethnic businesses. Brownhub, will not only feature deals from restaurants, but also deals from local retailers, manufacturers and other types of local businesses.

Brownhub is not affiliated with browntrout right now, but different restaurants in Chicago are signing up in brownhub and may be browntrout will sign up too.

So I have to ask: the name of the site is "Brownhub", and it features "Chicago based South Asian / Mediterranean / Arab and other ethnic businesses"...so it's a "hub" of "brown" businesses? If my assumption is correct, then as a brown person, I'm amused, but I could see others being less so.

That was my first thought too. But then I thought it couldn't be the source of the name!
