Once again, I've been invited to do a guest-bartending stint for charity at Prairie Fire, this time on Thursday August 11, from 6-8 pm. During this session I'll be making some modified Lemonhart daiquris and whatever other drinks I can figure out. An accompanying appetizer -- grilled pork skewer -- will also be served. During this event, the regular bar (aka real bartender
) and menu will also be available. As has become my custom, all tips from the event will be donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
I hope that some of my fellow LTHers will come out, say hi and let me mix up some drinks for them. As was the case back in November when I last did this, I will not be cooking the appetizer, which is fortunate news for everyone involved.

I plan to stop by.
