I'm looking for some big prawns. There seems to be a shortage, costco doesn't have any, the ones at Joong Boo are not big enough. Any suggestions?

I got some giant ones at Isaacson and Stein's. 3 of them were 1 lb! $20/lb.

I've seen big ones at Whole Foods, but their stock varies. I've seen U10s, but I don't think they were as large as what CrazyC describes. Best to call first and I'd recommend starting with the Lincoln Park location first.

The ones I bought were slightly larger than my hands. Looks like these in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7oRWOBewCQ

They were previously frozen though, and cleaning them was an interesting experience!

    That's where I usually see/buy them also.

I always get mine at WF. You can call them ahead and ask if they have any, which is very convenient.

Try the Fish Guy. Their weekly email advertised some huge ones at a discount, some with their heads, but you had to buy several pounds. It may be that that will also sell smaller quantities. Probably worth a call.
