Here I thought it was a dinner featuring rabbit, paired with beer- what a typical LTH'er....

Hmmm, I suppose that we should have worked some rabbit into the dinner to pair with the 5 Rabbit. Don't know what we would have done for the 5 Lizard and 5 Vulture... mmm Vulture meat...

The 5 Rabbit Beer pairing dinners were a smashing success! Thanks to all of the LTHers that came, we really appreciate it and are glad that you had a great time.

We did dinners on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, which was hectic but a ton of fun.
The 5 Rabbits brewers came out and showcased their 5 Rabbit, 5 Vulture and an as of yet unreleased "Day of the Dead" seasonal brew. The Day of the Dead was outstanding, it was definitely an interesting beer that I am really excited to see released. Definitely try to get your hands on it when they release it later this year.

The menu turned out well, here are some pics and descriptions of the food:
    Image
Pig Flight- panko crusted pork tail topped with pear salsa and sorrel microgreens served with 5 rabbit-tamarind sphere; roast pork tenderloin topped with oaxacan red mole (made with day of the dead ale) and red amaranth microgreens; seared pork breast topped with chili gelee, 5 lizard-passionfruit foam and basil microgreens
    Image
Papaya Salad- marlin served atop papaya, mango, jicama and serrano salad with passionfruit-lime vinaigrette served with a cha gio cup filled with a bite of tom kha soup broth
    Image
Sausage- sous vide duck sausage served with orange gelee, day of the dead ale mustard, spaetzle and braised cabbage
    Image
Main Course- goat medallion and stew with red pepper corn bread served alongside smashed fried potatoes and herbed goat cheese puree

Dessert- chocolate pistachio ice cream with shortbread cookies, day of the dead butterscotch and oaxacan chocolate sauce (no picture, sorry!)
