Fish Paste ?

I believe it's called "Dace Fish Paste", and it's readily available in most Chinese markets in the Bay Area. Too lazy/messy to make my own at home. Where can I find the fresh stuff in Chicago? Really craving it with green onions mixed in... dropped into boiling clear broth with napa cabbage, tofu, shitakes and bean thread noodles. And soy sauce with freshly chopped peppers for dipping. MMMMM!!

Doesn't H-Mart in Niles have a whole wall of the stuff in various iterations? Opposite the kimchi wall, immediately behind the last produce aisle? I don't know if I've seen the silly-putty-consistency version, but there are an awful lot of fish pastes in tubes.
