Has anyone been to the new "Meijer Marketplace" near 1st/North Avenue (where old Cub was)? I need to do one of my periodic "stock up" trips to buy some meat to freeze and a variety of staples (ranging from Sriracha to tahini to canned tomatoes to brown rice syrup). Should I check out Meijer or stick with Caputo's? I've never been to a Meijer and wondering if there is anything particularly interesting there that I can't get elsewhere.

    Hi,

You might want to check other Meijer posts to get a sense.

There was an article in Sunday's Tribune about the new Meijer in Melrose Park. It is a smaller store, about half the size of a normal Meijer.

    Hi,

Meijer is one place that always has "manufacturer's cream" with no additives (cream & milk) and not ultra-pasteurized.
