Near the Cook County courthouse? Mine and hubby's 20th anniversary tomorrow and his standby jury status sadly has turned into "come to Maywood" so I was thinking I'd surprise him and take him for a little lunch. I was SO hoping we could hang out for the day.

Assuming Tropical Time Jerk Chicken is still open, it's very close to the Maywood courthouse, like a block away. That'd be my first pick. Would surely be fast.

A bit further away are all the places on Madison in Forest Park, like Jimmy's Place. They're sit-down, but you could get carry-out.

Yum Thai is right around the corner too. 1st ave N to Madison, east a very quick spell, turn right into their lot after the self car wash place. Yelp says they are open at 11:30a.

Don Alfredo's is always onpoint with there carnitas.
The small cafe insided the Torres supermarket, located in Melrose Park, usually has a wide variety of rotating daily special that are very authentic.
