BYOB for group of 20

I've been tasked with organizing a dinner for a group of about 20 friends/colleagues, coming up in a few weeks.

Our budget is about $30-per, but we have plenty of beer and wine left over from some recent events, so BYOB seems the obvious way to go.

Just about any location accessible by CTA would work , though livelier neighborhoods are preferable, as this is a fairly young crowd, and some of us will want to go out for drinks afterwards.

Thoughts?

Not 100% sure they will be able to accomodate a group of 20 at all reservation times, but Tango Sur at Southport and Grace is the one place that popped into my head. If you have not been, it is an Argentinean steakhouse that serves up some delicious and reasonably priced fare. It will not be a the most tender steaks you have ever had, but they are extremely flavorful and reasonably priced. It is BYOB, which makes it very popular and tough to get into, have had wait times of over 3 hours presented to me. I have had luck getting reservations in the past with a larger group, even on NYE, but it is no guarantee your table will be waiting for you when you walk in. If you are up for a casual and relaxed approach to the dinner, it may be worth checking out, as it is a very fun place to eat, but if you need this to go off without any hitches, may be better choices out there. It is about 3.5 blocks from the Southport brownline stop.

Tango Sur can host a group of 20. The last time I was there, in the spring, there was a big group from JP Morgan. The reason I know this is because my friend and I were seated near the door. People would come in and say they had a reservation, and the host would ask their name. Each person, couple--given the volume in there--would yell, "JP Morgan!!!" Those were the only words we heard through a large part of our meal, unfortunate for us. That place is deafening.

Can't disagree with you there...

Try 90 Miles Cuban Cafe @ 2540 W Armitage. We just had a group of 25 and they could not have been more accomodating.

it's BYOB and could handle 20 but I'd be sure to arrange a menu first as it is only two guy cooking
and maybe one server. we had about 4 courses and left a 40% tip and it was about $30 PER PERSON

I've had great large BYOB meals at the following places. Of course, call ahead for a group of 20.
