    Hey guys,
A couple of months ago I had the idea to start doing a monthly themed potluck. Since then, some friends and I have had two events, one for finger foods in late July and one for herbs a couple weeks ago. Planning on doing another one at end of September, with the theme probably being citrus.

Is that something anyone here would have any interest in?

Feel free to let me know. I've been using Reddit to organize the meetups, so you can see some pictures of the food from the last meetup and read a little bit more about the past two events at http://www.reddit.com/r/chicagosupperclub/

Feel free to please reply on here or email me at wshandling at gmail dot com if you'd like to participate.

    Thanks,
    Will

Welcome, wshandling. Why don't you come to our massive potluck- the LTH Forum picnic on Sunday, September 11th ? (Details in in this thread devoted to the picnic.) That would be a great place to meet some others who would be interested in joining you- and you can preview their dishes  .
Man : I can't understand how a poet like you can eat that stuff.
    T. S. Eliot: Ah, but you're not a poet.

Definitely planning on going. Already rsvp'd in the main thread. Still, anyone that's reading this and is interested, feel free to leave a reply.

in reading about the "herb" Potluck there seemed to be some concern that people might cook
with or bring some? Do you remember the event?

There was nothing pot associated with the event at all. People asked if they could cook with it and I said no. None of the dishes had pot in them.

Please, we've had kangaroo, bear, boar, and camel. We'd eat narwhal if someone brought it. Maybe someone could even turn it into bacon...
