Saturday October 15th is now the date so here we go! We will be roasting a whole hog as well as plenty of other porky products. Uncle John Hot Links, rib tips, and plenty of other snacks. Philw will be bringing a couple of his cookers and we will smoke up the neighborhood!. Hoping a few special guests will be bringing a few things to throw on, ABt's and Da beefs Armadillo eggs. Of course we will have plenty of sides, Pit Beans, Slaw, Homemade Pickles, Greenbean salad with Bacon Vinagrette, Corn Bread, Assorted sauces, squishy white bread and the list will go on. We will have the snacking begin at 4 with the tips and links etc and the Pig served at 5. The live music will begin at 4:30 with a great Blues Band!
All this fun for $20 and that includes your first drink! We will pass the hat for the band. See you then!

Post #10 - October 4th, 2011, 9:02 pmWell a little under 2 weeks away and we could not be more excited, If you love BBQ and Blues this one is for you! The band is going to be a great outfit the Joe Moss Band, when I was the Chef at House of Blues, ( Along time ago) these guys rocked the stage many a night and I am so excited they are playing Toons! Philw is bringing the Alveron Hog cooker and will be doing an injected, rubbed slow smoked pig! Special guest Andrew Bloom from Wichita packing will be bringing a pit and we will be doing several sausages and Uncle Johns Hot links as well as Rib tips. Phils buddy Roger from Smoke Ring BBQ will also do a dish TBD. Also DaBeefs Armadillo Eggs will make a come back from last year. The folks from Newcastle Brewery will be on hand sampling some of there new release Werewolf which is a blood red ale. The sides are to numerous to list but with the housemade pickles, jalapeno cornbread, smoked pit beans being a small sample of what is in store. Come on out and enjoy a great day! $20 all you can eat including a drink. 4pm appetizers and 5pm for the piggy!
