Now and then I enjoy Pickapeppa Sauce, especially as a condiment for cold roast beef. I used to find it at Dominicks, but the store near me doesn't carry it any longer. So I've looked at Fresh Farms on Touhy and Treasure Island on Broadway with no success. I have a feeling that Paulina Market mught have it, but I don't get out that way very often.
The Lovely Donna got me a few bottles from Amazon, but I'd rather not pay the shipping next time. Anyone seen it recently?

Completely agree...I first tried Matouk on Orient Beach in St. Maarten. Terrific stuff...I brought back from a few bottles with me. Supply is starting to run. I figured that I would have to roadtrip back to there to re-up my supply. Good to know that I only have to make a short trip into the city.
Now if I can only find a local source for Havana Club!!!

Post #8 - September 23rd, 2011, 8:20 amYou can pick up non-Cuban (made elsewhere in the Carribean or Central America, can't remember) Havana Club and many other excellent, hard to find rums, just up the block at La Unica, which is on Devon, east of Clark. God I miss Chicago.
While you're there, you might as well get you some excellent Colombian/Ecuadorian/Mexican food.

Post #11 - September 24th, 2011, 1:27 pmSpotted today in two different varieties at Fresh Farms on Touhy. It was not in with the rest of the hot sauces in the BBQ sauce area, it was in the Asian section around aisle 12 (go figure).
