    Private chef Jeremy Brewington, whose recent South African “Potjiekos Cafe” pop-up dinners at Dodo were such a hit, reprises the menu from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in an outdoor dinner at the Illinois Institute of Technology, 3333 S. Wabash Ave.

    Reservations for this event have officially closed, but if you e-mail today and say "Dining Chicago" sent you, he may make exceptions. It's worth trying. I went to one of the pop-up evenings at Dodo, and the food was extraordinary. I was especially enamored of the beef ribs depicted above, but everything was terrific.
