This may be a dumb question but does anyone know if the book will be available for purchase at the event?

I would ask to be put on a waitlist. Very likely not everyone will show up and your name on the list will likely guarantee some priority.

Per the site link in the OP (emphasis mine):

"This event has sold out. There is no waitlist. However, you may come to the Library and wait in a stand-by line. If there are attendees with tickets who do not show up at the event we will release those seats to those in the stand-by line. There is no guarentee that you will be admitted to the event from the stand-by line. The stand-by line is first come first served."

    Thanks,

I did see that, but I work all the way up in Lincolnshire, I'd have to leave early to make it down there by 6PM. I might take the afternoon off and head down there anyways, see if I can catch a break.

    Hi,

Whose going to this event? I was thinking maybe we could have dinner together afterwards.

I will be getting books, too, so that may delay an immediate departure.

Who might be in for this?

    Regards,
    Cathy2

I can definitely use it. No excuse, since office is only a couple of blocks away and missed the event in SF, so this is perfect!

I am in for dinner as well.

    Thanks, jen!

Does anyone have a suggestion of where we can eat: Mercat la Planxa, The Gage?

I think Mercat would be a fine choice given the Spanish connection, proximity, and deliciousness.

I would vote for Mercat as well--I eat at the Gage often and have only tried Mercat once. I like the Spanish tie in too...

GAF - Would you like to take the lead a reserve a table for 6, and make the adjustment accordingly? 8:00 or 8:30pm?

We have the following folks interested in dinner so far:
    1. GAF
    2. Boudreaulicious
    3. Siun
    4. Cathy2 - Will Mercat work for you?

Did I miss anyone else that would like to join?
