Colombians Taste is the kind of place I love to stumble upon. Two talented home cooks who happen to be sisters took over a tiny strip mall space because neighbors and relatives kept raving about their food and encouraging them to give it a go. They have no restaurant experience, and are doing their best to translate what they've been serving their families into something that will resonate with the public. It resonated with me.
Tostada con todo:

That's a flattened and fried green plantain. The cook/ owner instructed me to break off little pieces at a time, then top them however I want with the assortment pictured. Included were moist, well seasoned shredded beef, housemade chicharrones, a naturally sweet pepper/ onion relish and thin, lemonny guacamole. All good stuff.
I look forward to exploring more of the menu.
