Ditkas has the best Pchop around, try cafe36 in LaGrange well over an inch thick grilled, and served with a delicious pink peppercorn sauce. (if your ever in Laguna Beach Ca try Sorrento grille

What about Skrinechops in Forest Park or their carry out location on Financial Place in the loop. They are loved by pork chop lovers (I don't eat them but every single person we've ever brought there is hooked....I have the chopped chicken breast instead).

While it has been a long time I once had the pork chop at Ditka's and it was very good! Must of been 2 inches thick and cooked perfectly.

Although I visited long before this thread started.

Lately I visited a place on the south side and had the best pork chop sandwich I've ever had...

Gennaro's on Taylor Street has a great pork chop, thick, lightly breaded and served with green peppers. This begs the next question, who is their purveyor? Where can someone buy a moist chop like that????

Cafe Hoang makes a mighty fine pork chop with a nice bonus of chinese sausage and a fried egg. Gwiv took some photos somewhere on the site, I believe; shouldn't take much of a search.

Had a pork chop dinner last night and it was freakin' AWESOME!
I have been there quite a few time over the years and everything they do it great.

As much as I like the pork chop sandwich at Hog Wild, I can't recommend the rib tips. I ordered them once, sauce on the side so I could check out the meat as always. No rub, no smoke ring, no flavor, nothing.

As part of the five-course winter menu, Bonsoiree is serving a celery seed crusted pork chop over mascarpone polenta, swiss chard and heirloom carrots topped with fried parsnip. The best pork chop I've ever had. It's the kind of dish you want to tweet about right after eating it. That is, if I had a Twitter account.

I would agree with the rest of the comments on here. If you want a pork chop, head to Da Coachs spot if your downtown or Hog Wild if your south. I went to HW last month and it was the MJ of pork chops. As noted above by JimTheBeerGuy, I got the feeling on my visit and from snooping around that there wasn't anything else worth ordering. Just get two if your still hungry. The little fillet part was so good I wanted to order a dozen and just eat that part off all of them.

    Peteys Bungalow

Greek style pork chops with garlic and olive oil are outstanding. They serve two large bone in chops with your choice of sides (cottege fries best) relish tray, garlic bread, soup, salad and dessert; right out of 1958. The room is tired, most extras weak and the clientel remember the real Mayor Daley, but Pork Chops tender tasty and cheap.

While I love various styles of pork chops very much, one of the styles I miss the most are good "breaded pork chops," which are getting to be a rarity in the average restaurant today. I guess its just easier to throw a chop or two on the grill or broiler, maybe a slight dust or breath of flour, and call it a quality meal. Oh, do I miss the great breaded pork chops that my mother used to make for the family at home. In the past, some restaurants had excelled at this -- often European -- but it is near impossible to find many good ones these days.

I had a really great pork chop at Vinci - juicy and flavorful. I'm often leary of ordering pork chops out - usually dry or unimaginative, including the ballyhooed Ditkas - but this one was excellent.
