had the cat fish, chicken combo .
fish was great with corn meal breading
    chicken was good
mustard, vinegar slaw was great. & the hush puppies was outstanding
off the path but a great stop.
the outside is like a old cabin, just like going to grannys house for dinner

    phil,

Did you bump into this place or was it word of mouth or some advance research?

    Regards,

Wartrace and its sister city Bell Buckle, TN, both roughly 30 miles south of Murfreesboro, are towns known for their music and arts festivals. Both have a couple of pretty good restaurants.

At the Bell Buckle arts festival four years ago, I tasted the best gumbo I have ever tasted. A New Orleans couple, refugees from Katrina were cooking it on a gas fire.
