I'd like to join in as well. This was my first canning season - so I'm only bringing my peach sauce (was supposed to be jam... but didn't thicken well enough).

I'll be there more to learn than to swap...

    Looking forward to it.

Happy to have you and we'll be discussing methods, I hope to get a few tip also.

    HI,

I canned 21 pints. I have another batch to go, though I postponed those until tomorrow evening. I kept a quart unprocessed for my use.

    See you tomorrow!

    Cathy2

How many pounds of cabbage did you have to start? I'm thinking I may start some of my own after the olives get out of the bath tub. Still lye curing but I think I could have stopped already but Alistair said it was still bitter and that I was trying to kill him.

Ah my fellow canners I am not coming to this event. I put off this decision until the last minute because I really wanted to come. In the spirit of sharing I'm going to post my canning efforts this year. Have fun!

So sorry for the late notice, but I think I will either be late or not make it all. I'm not contributing to the exchange, so hope my status isn't an inconvenience. Thanks.

Can't wait to open my jars. As usual, this was a blast.

I really was energized, I suspect you figured that out if you were there, by the people who are dipping their toes into/or returning to the world of Pinging Jars!

I'm putting up more food this week, so let me know if you are interested in another Exchange, or perhaps just a Canner's Chat & Bite where we share what we are intrigued by, what we just can't seem to get right, what are favorite go-to items are, etc.

    Cheers.

Great event as always and I talked to several new (for me) people. I also went home with some treasures so thanks for those. Time to start looking at winter fruits and veggies for next time.

    Thanks for organizing pairs4life!

Saw some photos of the event. It looked like so much fun! I did a little post under the canning thread.
