BBC 2 has just started a great new series featuring important traditional foods that are in danger of disappearing under competition from industrial production. Each episode features two foods (pears and garlic; rhubarb and peas), with visits to growers, new recipes from chefs, and ultimately to a garden or farm where a varietal collection is preserved. Excellent locovore fare.

Sooo, you like wine and are looking for something good to read? Maybe *this* will do the trick! :)

Thanks, but according to the error message superimposed on the player, this program (programme?) is currently not available in the US. I assume we will have to wait until such time as BBCAmerica has the rights to it.

It's available all over the UK on Wed & Thurs. I thought that it might be available Over There in N. America on BBC-TV. But maybe it won't be for awhile. Sorry to misguide everyone. :(

We get very little current BBC content in America, and even then we get those on a delay of anywhere from a few days (Graham Norton) to weeks (Top Gear). iPlayer is preparing a subscription model for the US to be released soon.
