BBC 2 has just started a great
new series featuring important traditional foods that are in danger of disappearing under competition from industrial production. Each episode features two foods (pears and garlic; rhubarb and peas), with visits to growers, new recipes from chefs, and ultimately to a garden or farm where a varietal collection is preserved. Excellent locovore fare.
