Downtown office lunch suggestions for 12?

Post #1 - December 5th, 2011, 7:29 pmMy wife's office is looking for ideas. Geography and cuisine are fairly open but limitations and parameters are as follows:
* roughly $$ limit
* not Asian
* not too mainstream (e.g. Pizza, Midwestern)
*geography can be south loop to west loop to as far up as Bucktown
Under consideration are names as far flung as Balsan, Mexique, Ruxbin---though some of these approach the "too middle-of-the-road, midwestern," at least for some.
I'm aware that there' s been some south-of-the-loop activity lately and I don't know much about it. Also west. Thinking others here may have a much better handle on what's new and interesting and can handle a group of 12. Looking at this Fri"Strange how potent cheap music is."
