Any suggestions on where to find better-than-Reeses peanut butter cups? Somewhere near Oak Park would be best.

I like the ones from Trader Joe's. Not sure if there's one in Oak Park though.

I recall liking the ones from Cora Lee Candies in Glenview.

I've been loving the dark chocolate ones from TJ's.

Nice telephone voice at Cora Lee but they cannot deliver before Xmas and, since my right arm is not very functional right now, I don't want to drive that far.

Nothing against TJs but it doesn't really say "special event". Just thought of Old Fashioned Candies in Berwyn, maybe I will give them a shot.

I used to love these guys, and this is kind of like a peanut butter cup:

I'm a fan of Newman's Own Organics Peanut Butter Cups with dark chocolate. I know Whole Foods carried them prior to the switch in the recipe recently... hopefully they still do.

The Moonstruck cones look interesting - if I were doinf the eating, I think i would go for them but the recipient is a little anti-cream-filled chocolates.

If I can get Newman's at the Whole Foods, I am set.

Thanks to all for the help.

Are you giving them as a gift or simply serving to people? The TJ's version are in a plain paper cup, so outside of the container no one would know where they're from.

Aunt Diana's in Riverside have some "heavyweight" peanut butter cups that are practically twice the size of a standard Reese's cup. They're very good - but one should suffice per visit. Tell Patty the proprientor hello while you're there.

They're also extremely simple to make, if you are so inclined. Extremely.
