2011, and I can't find them anywhere. North suburbs preferably.
I am looking for the large buckets of individually wrapped.
I have been like a dozen places. All is see is pink, blue, tutti-fruity, etc....
Yuk. What happened to good old-fashioned peppermint candy canes?
Did peppermint's cost go through the roof like everything else?

I will follow all leads. Thank you.

Did you try CVS or Walgreens? They usually have stuff like that there.

maybe list where you've checked already so that we can eliminate those options...

Everyone online is selling Bob's mini candy canes which look to be exactly what you are looking for. This seems to be the company that owns the brand. Maybe give them a call?

Sam's Club web site turned up but it didn't say if at stores or online only. Good luck!

I bought a box of 60 mini candy canes at Target (in Chicago - Uptown) last week. I haven't seen buckets of them, but then again I haven't been looking. I've seen similar boxes at Walgreen's, Jewel and probably Dominick's.

Regarding the peppermint versus fruit comment, we do a family day for Christmas at work every year. As the coordinator of this event, I've learned over the years that Santa needs to give the kids Jolly Rancher or SweetTart candy canes because most children don't like peppermint. I buy the mini peppermint candy canes for the adults. ;-)

    thanks for the replies.
I have been to the following places in the last two days:
Jewel, Dominick's, Walgreens, Dollar Tree, CVS, Sam's, Costco, Target, Wal-Mart, Food 4 Less, Aldi, World Market, Trader Joe's

I laughed at the comment about kids loving the "new" flavors of candy canes.
Proving once again I am old school.

I looked in the store, and did not see them, but failed to ask.
This advice prompted me to just check the website and it reports my Sam's has them.
So, I am off to see....
Thank you very much, I sure appreciate the help!
