OK, so we've dropped in number considerably. Unless something major changes we'll just be two tables (which is fine). I'm going to call to confirm and do the pre-ordering Thursday afternoon. From what I'm gathering, we want to pre-order one order of "cabbage rolls" and two orders of Peking Duck per table, yes? Is there any other descriptor I should use to order the cabbage rolls? Will they know what I'm talking about just from that name?

Just saw this and looked at Ronnie's GNR awards dinner post here- viewtopic.php?f=19&t=31365&p=367823&hilit=Gnr+sun+Wah+cabbage#p367823

The dish is listed as "Vegetarian Cabbage Rolls" so I am guessing that will be enough for them to understand.

    Yum

OK, so we are confirmed for 4 ducks total and two tables, table size depending if we add some more people, but at this point we won't be more than 20 people. The cabbage rolls we can order at the table, we don't have to order those in advance.

Leek, if it helps at all, I need to bow out due to last minute family obligations on the part of my guest, so that opens up two adult spots. Sorry for the last minute notice, the holidays are crazy making times.

Another note - they are not doing any "off the menu" items other than Ducks. If Cabbage Rolls are not on the regular menu, they are unlikely to be able to be making them. It's one of their busiest days of the year, and they will be swamped just doing the regular items.

I wish we could go, but one of my kids is sick, ugh, I was really looking forward to this, maybe next year.

I've been fighting a cold/flu all week and woke up just a little while ago with a temp of 101+. Sorry for this very, very late notice, and sorry to miss the duck--and the company!

I don't think I'd be able to attend anyway, but is there no Jewish Christmas this year? I was sad to see no posts yet...

too funny, I thought there would be some LTHers in Sun Wah.

Mrs Sweet Willie & I went to Tank for Goi Vit (duck salad w/ginger lime chili dressing) on Christmas Eve.
I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.
