I have a hankering for duck. What and where are your favorite dishes?

Other than Sun Wah, that is, and the fries at Hot Doug's.

I just had lunch at Lao Hunan and the twice cooked sliced duck was outstanding. This dish is now solidly on my Lao Hunan must order list.

Pastoral offers two delicious sandwiches made with herbed duck confit.

Quack Attack - Herbed duck confit, Manchego cheese, membrillo, piparras, and cucumber

Le Canard - Herbed duck confit, Fromager D’Affinois, local shallot confit, whole grain dijon mustard and field greens

I really like the duck egg hash w/duck confit at Longman & Eagle (brunch only).

Shredded duck and root vegetables at Double Li; smoked tea duck at Lao Beijing or Spring World; duck liver and onions and half-duckling dinner at Klas (Thu-Sat, local reports steer me away from Sun); and the Canard Rôti at Le Bouchon used to be great, haven't had in a few years. RIP Opera.

My favorite place for duck is Little Bohemian in Riverside.
When I go, I often get the half duck pork tenderloin combo. It is about $10 and you get a whole meal and leftovers. The Decor is form the 50-70's.
Stop by Aunt Diana's next door for a caramel apple or chocolate.

I had a duck dish at the Florentine not too long ago that was phenomenal. Crispy-skinned confited duck thigh/leg quarters (I believe), with semolina gnocchi, sauteed chard or kale, with green olives, orange segments, and pistachios. really great, bright acidic flavors that cut nicely through the tender fatty duck meat and skin.

I just had the duck confit hash for brunch at Fork in Lincoln Square. I was impressed.

I had prosciutto wrapped duck breast served with duck sausage and apples last night at Anteprima. It was one of the best duck preparations I have ever had. Served perfectly medium rare, the saltiness of the prosciutto was absolutely delicious with the apple. It's on their regular menu so it may be around for a bit, or at least until spring.

The roast duck for two at Le Bouchon has been a favorite of mine for years. Even if only one of us wants duck that night, we order it and take home the leftovers.

Adorable. A ninja duck truck! I may have to move downtown.

Restaurant Michael in Winnetka always has a lovely duck dish on the menu. Currently, they have duck breast served with a duck confit and mushroom streudel that is mighty tasty.

The current duck balantine (although I thought it's supposed to be ballotine) dish at Publican is excellent.
