After being closed for several years, Metropolis has opened a store in Midlothian at 14652 S. Avers Ave.
I haven't been to the new location yet (gonna stop in tonight) but used to frequent the place when it was in Beverly.
    Best jerky around IMO.

No, I have no association with the place, just glad to see it back, and so close to home...

Great news. I always wanted to try their product but never had a chance.

Do you happen to have any photos, or can you describe the jerky?

Here's a link to their website, there are some photos and descriptions there.
The old store had a lot more varieties than what is listed so there will probably be more to come.
He also used to take custom orders.

It's just off the train for me, so that's very convenient on the rare occasion I'm able to arrive in Midlothian before they close at 6. I made a point of getting here on time today and picked up a few varieties, Maple Wasabi, Island Heat, and Ragin' Cajun. The Maple Wasabi didn't have much of a wasabi kick but the maple was nice. Island Heat had some nice spice and a little sweetness. Ragin' Cajun has a pretty good heat level going on and great flavor. I will try and get back soon to try a few more, probably including some more traditional flavors. Hope things work out well for them in this location, you can't really see it from 147th Street (the main thoroughfare) but maybe word of mouth will help out.
Ronnie said I should probably tell you guys about my website so
