How should I store orange peels? I would like to candy them in about a month. Should I put them into a freezer bag in a single layer and freeze them?

I freeze them stacked together to conserve space. Since they spend time in a brine, they defrost and come apart easily.

Do I need to blanch the orange peels before freezing them or it unnecessary because I am going to candy them later on?

    Hi,

I don't blanch them. I also am not holding them forever.
