    Hello,
My husband loves to make cocktails (lucky me!) and I'm looking for some great cocktail glasses to get him for his birthday. High-end thin "coupe" glasses a la Violet Hour would be perfect- and if I can find the appropriate vessel for the side car- that would be a great bonus. I've tried googling local cocktail supply stores but haven't found anything. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Just a quick google on "coupe glass" brought up a bunch of hits.

    Like these at Amazon.

Thanks lunanoir. To clarify, I'm actually looking for a local store. It may seem strange, but I'm picky about the shape and how thick the glass is- attributes that are hard to read via the web pictures. So I'd like to be able to touch before buying.

I believe the most commonly found coupe glasses at cocktail bars are the Libbey 3777 (4.5 oz) and 3773 (5.5 oz). I recently purchased these online, and they're exactly what I was looking for.

The rub is that you have to buy 36 of them at a time. I suspect these can be found at restaurant supply type stores, though I've never cared to look since I just purchased them online and had them delivered to my door. At about 3 dollars per glass, I didn't view it as too big of a risk, and I'm very happy with the purchase. I ended up splitting the box with fellow LTHers.

you can get Libby coupe glasses at Krasny & Co. I got 8 there a couple years ago when I helped throw a Violet Hour party.

Some of the glasses sold at Crate and Barrel and at CB2 are Libby brand.

A great place to check out would probably be Schweppe's in Lombard. It's a restaurant supply store with all sorts of cheap cocktail glasses.

I visited their store last week and they do have Libbey 4.5 ounce coupes and 6 ounce martini glasses at $3-4 each. No need to buy by the case. You can special order anything from the Libbey catalog.

Cost Plus usually has a good selection of barware, no sure about the specific glasses you're looking for but they mght be worth a look if you are near a location.

    Hey folks,
I had a hard time finding 4.5 ounce coupes in Chicago so I went ahead and ordered a case of 36.
I know there was a split before. Is anyone interested in buying 12 or 24 of these? These are the Libbey 3777 and are unused and in the box.
I think it would come to $38/dozen. PM me.
    thanks.

I don't know about coupe but I do have some very highend crystal rocks glasses and whiskey decantor from Orefors. My lovely wife got them for me a couple of Christmas ago.

    enjoy!

    Hey folks,
i've had a few inquiries about the 4.5 ounce coupe glasses for cocktails that is a few posts above. Even a dozen is too much to buy which i totally understand. I could do smaller quantities also but at a slightly different rate.
    2 for $10
    4 for $18
    6 for $24
    12 for $38.
Just PM me and we can set it up.
    Thanks.
