I have determined not to let my lack of knowledge be an impediment. Although I'm not certain how I will turn it into an opponent-destroying advantage, I nevertheless intend to attend. Me myself and moi.

The Chief would like to mention that there will be a sampler plate involved. A combo plate of 5 tastes from the new menu will be available for $25. Fish and Chips w/Mushy Peas, Savory Blue Cheesecake, Roasted Beet Napoleon, Mint Creek Farms Irish Stew, Peat Smoked Shrimp and...

I should save this for a trivia question but which of these dishes have LTH connections? The Beet Napoleon was a dish I did for the picnic a few yrs back and the idea of Peat smoked anything began it's life in a thread here.

Yet to be decided bounty for the winners and good times to be had by all.

Sounds great; almost certainly what I'll be ordering. :)

It's probably worth mentioning that the full menu will also be available and folks can order as much or as little from it as they like. That's probably already clear but I didn't want anyone to think that ordering the plate described above by Jazzfood was a pre-requisite to attending. And if you do want it, there's no need to pre-order it.

    Thanks,

I'm assuming we will be able to order off of the menu as well. I seem to have possibly developed some food allergies, so I have to pick and choose.

    Hi all,

With just over a week to go, we're expecting a full house for this event (since it's also being promoted by Chief O'Neill's), so please, if you've already signed up but know that you won't be able to make it, post here so we can make sure that none of the limited spots go unused.

    Thanks,

Chief O"Neill's will not be promoting this event. This will strictly be an LTHForum community event and the maximum number of people attending will be 42 LTHers.

    Thanks.

Thanks, Rob, for the correction. In any case, we certainly hope that all who've signed up will be there, especially since we anticipate a capacity crowd. :)

Sounds great! I've never done a trivia bar thing and I'm fairly certain to be a liability to any team that gets saddled with me, but I still want to inflict myself upon the group.

I'm trying to talk Chouxfly into it, too... so, tentatively two!

mamagotcha, I hope you and the most excellent Chouxfly can make it, but I'm pretty sure that what ronnie suburban has been requesting is a solid in or out. We've been concerned about cancellations at events like these, and so "tentative" is problematic. Hope you understand...and that we'll see you there.

No worries, and it's understood that sometimes people get sick the day of the event or have other issues that arise, but the problem of last-minute cancellations is becoming more widespread, and so we're trying to correct that problem.

After I posted my reply to you, I got a PM from a long-time poster who revealed that they'd given up planning LTH events because they became frustrated with the volume of people who cancel at the 11th hour or just don't show -- and mamagotcha, I know you're not like that, but your post came up at a time when we mods were pondering what exactly to do about this, so it seemed like the right time to reiterate this concern. Sincere thanks for understanding.
