I've made fried chicken skin a few times in small quantities from whole chickens I've bought, but am thinking about doing it in large quantities for an upcoming event (tip of the hat to Hellodali).

Does anyone know where to buy just chicken skin? I'd prefer something from a local farm, but I'm fine with with any source. I'm thinking about just asking at Ciales on Armitage, but was wondering if anyone has any sources they have experience with?

    Hi,

Some were recently ordered via Garden Fresh's deli department. A call in advance a friend was able to buy about 5 pounds for 69 cents a pound.

I bought a couple pounds, which were sliced off a huge frozen block, from the local butcher "Ascot Meats" in Prospect Heights (Wolf Rd. just north of Camp McDonald). I think it was a little more than Cathy mentions, but not much. Call your local butcher, they may have it, and it's certainly not going to break the bank.
