Post #1 - February 18th, 2012, 2:16 pmMy SO will be spending the month of April in Shenyang. She is looking forward to exploring the food in that region. We have tried searching here and elsewhere online for good intel on the area, but have come up pretty empty. Has anyone been to that area, or anyone have suggestions to share? Any and all info is appreciated.

Post #2 - February 18th, 2012, 10:24 pmShenyang is a tough city to get food recommendations. I was near Shenyang in Dalian for 2 weeks recently and it was pretty much the same. And Shenyang is a bigger city than Dalian! At least the US Consulate is there!
Anyways, if you can read Chinese (or willing to put up with the horrid translations using Chrome/Google Translate!), try dianping. It is the China equivalent of Yelp, but Chinese people are more picky, so a lot of their points are very good! I found some awesome places with that site!
If you'd like, PM me what areas you will be in, and what type of food you like, and I can give you some recs based on dianping!
