Read this earlier today on my Facebook page, from an annoyed Homaro Cantu:

"Someone broke into iNG Restaurant. The only thing missing was this laptop. I got there before they could take too many things. It was right near the from (sic) door. Called the cops and everything."

But Cantu being Cantu, he realized that he not only could track the thief down himself - he could turn it into Facebook performance art. Behold. . . ."Finding my stolen laptop with key logging and tracking software." It's quite a journey - both unsettling and funny. Enjoy.

Messing with punks like that could be more trouble than it is worth... I do hope the Ustream feed works out, I'd love to see the "perp" on the webcam.

Homaru has already posted at least a dozen shots of the perp on Facebook; looks like a small-time drug dealer. There's a shot of his incarcerated brother, too, waving around a bud the size of a hydrangea. It's developing into quite the saga.

The page has disappeared. I wonder if they caught the perp or had other reasons for taking it down.

I looked on his personal FB page and I don't see it (perhaps it was a while back? I scrolled back into 2011, though). And the link doesn't seem to work for me. :(

You have to be his "friend" on Facebook to be able to see it--sorry if that as confusing.

Or you at least have to "like" him. Look at me, getting all down with the lingo.

Good for him, he took down the entire thread it had, IMHO, run it's course and had just crossed over from funny to creepy.
