Hello folks, we missed the usual date for the crawfish boil on the first weekend of the tournament, however have decided to do one next weekend. It will be the usual routine we will have all the crawfish and fixins you can eat. $25 also includes Red Beans and Rice with some good beer specials. We usually fill the pot with corn, potatoes, mushrooms, garlic, sausages etc. as well as some of Louisiana's finest export!! (MUDBUGS) Love to meet some new faces and of course looking forward to seeing the usual suspects! First pot out around 2....Thanks, Danny

I'm not the least bit interested in the NCAA tournament. But I love me some Nawlins mudbugs. The family and I had such a wonderful time at Toon's last crawfish boil, I'm gonna try to hit this one as well. If there's one thing I learned at my first Toon's crawfish boil, it's that Danny knows how to throw down NOLA style. Not only were the crawfish excellent, the red beans and rice were positively addictive. Easily the best I've ever had. Hope to see you again next weekend, Danny!!

Thanks Seamus, it was good meeting you last time around. The crawfish are going to be even better now the season is actually in full swing! Hope to see you again. Danny

Looks like we will be ordering #250 to #300 of Crawfish! Please reply to thread if you think you will be joining in, just trying to get somewhat of a headcount. Don't worry it is not official and if you don't make it not a big deal. Just want to make sure we have enough, or not to much.... Jimswside will be in the house helping us cook up the bugs so come on out!!!

I'm 90% certain I will be attending with some of my crawfish adverse friends. They'll be ordering off the menu. I'm good for plowing through at least 5 pounds of mudbugs though.

I'd be there if not for the fact that I'll be on vacation (if you can call going to Tampa to babysit twin 6 year olds and an 8 year old vacation  . Suck a few heads and pinch a few tails for me  !!

It is hard to judge as it depends on how many folks show up. I would guess we would be done around 5, You could always give a call if you want to see if we still have crawfish. Hope you can make it!

Danny, I am planning on making it there but likely won't arrive until 3:30. Save some for me! Though getting a chance to try some of your BBQ wouldn't be bad either. Looking forward to my first trip to Toons!

What can I say?? Once again, Danny pulled off another excellent crawfish boil. This time around I brought along my 81 year old father for the party. He went through 3 bowls of red beans and rice (each one with a different hot sauce) and at least 3 pounds of mudbugs. While I only had 1 bowl of red beans and rice, I easily killed off 5-6 pounds of delicious spicy mudbugs.

Nice to see the usual suspects there (I'm lookin at you jimswside and Da Beef). But also great to meet and chat with GWiv and his charming wife.

jhawk1 - You pulled off another LTH worthy feast yet again. Today solidified with me that Toons is most definitely a GNR. I'm glad you earned the honor, Danny. Can't wait until the next crawfish boil!!!

    Seamus,

Nice to meet you and, for a thin fellow, your dad put a hurt on the edibles. Always nice to see Da Beef/Jimswside and Ellen and I really enjoyed our conversation with lurker Nate and his engagingly sweet bride Jessica.

Love the crawfish, my wife always seems so contented with a big pile of crawfish in front of her, but for me its all about the low rent hot dogs. These cheapo pork/chicken dogs aren't fit for an Arkansas prison picnic, but the airy highly emulsified doggy soak up spicy crawfish infused cooking liquid like a tube shaped sponge, more than the sum of its parts doesn't begin to describe the transformation.

Another terrific time at Toon's, though one word of warning, don't play shuffleboard with Danny and Annie's three year old daughter Olivia, she is a shuffleboard shark of the first order.

    Enjoy,

A big Thanks to the folks who came out! It was by far the most serious crawfish eaters we have ever seen. We went through 300 lbs in 2 hours! That is an average of 5 lbs per person!! 60 people attended and that is an amazing display of eating! That does not include the Red Beans and Rice or all the Sausage, corn, potatoes or the cheapo hot dogs Gary so eloquently described!! Seamus you ate a Ton!! Good to see everyone and we will be doing events all spring and summer. Pig Roast coming up April 16th. Will create an event soon!

    Thanks, Danny

    Hello LTH,

We do have a boil planned for March 10th at 2 PM!! It is our NCAA conference championship boil and we will cook up several hundred pounds of Louisiana's finest export as well as the fixin's. $25 all you can eat as well as beer specials. Please come out and have some. Drop a line on here if you think you can make it so I can get somewhat of a headcount. Crawfish is stil pretty expensive this time of year so we want enough....but not to much!! Hope to see some folks out!
