Thanks again to Toria and Frank for a lovely evening! Everything was delicious, and if you could post the recipes for the chicken and lentils, I'd appreciate it. Could everyone else post their dessert recipes too?

I hope you got that thing to stop beeping.

Thanks PL. I'll the recipe from Frank. Regarding the oven, it was beeping all last night. I hate when that happens.

As Ms Ingie suggested, unplugging and allowing it to reset will do the trick. If that is inconvenient to reach, go to your circuit breaker to turn it off.

It was quite a pleasant evening last night. Thank you!

Thanks everyone. Glad to do it. Oddly, the beeping stopped. When I got up this morning no beeping. Maybe there was a ghost in the machine.

If this is your range, and you have a digital panel on it, likely there is a short in it that will go on and off at random, annoying intervals. I have a GE Profile, 10 years old, and have been going through this for months now. It's not unsafe--just annoying. Fixing it is half the cost of a new appliance so not doing that. Just going to live with it until I decide what I want to replace it with.

Thx. I did some searching on the internet and figured it would be quite expensive to fix. fortunately it stopped beeping. I will not fix mine either as the stove is twelve years old. I have liked the stove but detest the burner grates which are a taupe color and parts of the paint or enamel have fallen off and discolored. crappy. I too am trying to figure out what to get. Let me know if you have any ideas. Never again colored grates. Only black. do not think they make them anymore like that.

I have a black GE Profile. It has a convection option and kower warming drawer. It's all black. Did you see it when you were at my house?

By the way, thanks for a lovely evening. I will post pics tomorrow when I'm home and have some time.

No I did not notice it. I have had no trouble with the stove except the burners deteriorating. I searched the internet and found many of the digital GE profiles get that problem. Well its gone now. Looking forward to the pictures.

not to derail the thread but I find that unplugging it then plugging it in again, then putting the oven on for a few minutes tends to give me the longest beep-free periods. If I just unplug and plug back in, it usually ends up going off again a day or two later. The oven method usually means I won't hear it for a few months...
