You should start a self-titled thread so all these beautiful photos can be found in one place.

That's right, how come you haven't been to an exchange?

I had been posting them in the "random food pics" thread under "other," but then it appeared that after I did, someone moved them to the "shopping and cooking" section, so I thought maybe I had been posting incorrectly and started putting them here. posting.php?mode=reply&f=16&t=34401# I'm happy to post wherever it's appropriate, if someone can please point me in the proper direction.

I will try my best to come to a dessert exchange, but I just don't think I could bring home so many lovely pastries myself. As it is, I try not to have much around the house, since *I'd* be the only one eating it; which is why I'm CONSTANTLY pawning things off on my probably-soon-to-be-diabetic neighbors, friends and co-workers.

PL, no, I don't own a bakery. I suspect that if I had to bake for a JOB, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun, since I would be rushed with deadlines and have to deal with the headache of running a business. (I can bake, but I have ZERO business sense!) I bake for people I know (baby showers, birthdays, small weddings) and such, but that's all.

Yes - please come to the dessert exchange. The next one is at my house in Mt Prospect. You only have to take home what you want to take home. But you can sample a little bit of everything when you are there.

Yes you only need to bring one dessert that can be tasted and divided up. At the exchange you can taste a bite or a little piece of something. Then everything gets divided up but you can take little or nothing home if you want. Everyone usually can take a piece of something but it is up to them.

    tgoddess-

A thread was moved from Other Culinary Chat because it evolved into a recipe conversation. You could continue to post photos in the Random Food Pics thread, or if your including any recipe info, they can go in Shopping and Cooking. There's a little bit of leeway in posting decisions. Whatever you do, please keep posting. It all looks so good!

BTW, I'm not sure what link you were trying to include above.

    For the mods,
    -Mary
