Many years ago Ken Kercheval (SP?) of Dallas fame had a hybrid popcorn that could be bought in bulk at various farm stores in Indiana and Kentucky. It was a small white kernel and very tasty. I have not been able to find anything close. It was sold in bulk as Ken Kercheval's popcorn.

His farm went chapt.11 when I was out of the area, and requests to the local county agents, IU/Purdue/etc. have led nowhere.
The owner of the store I used to purchase it at (Shelbyville, Ky) passed away a year after we had the misfortune of moving to Charleston, SC and his stand was shut down.

Anyone have a good (ancient) memory and can point me in the right direction?

I haven't a clue, but Amish Country Popcorn sells a very nice "baby white" popcorn that sounds much like what you described.

Gleam - thanks but not quite the same.
Geo - wow. I never saw the packaged stuff, only the bulk bins.
