We are a GO for Scrapple 2.0!

    Sunday, March 18, 2012
    1-4 p.m.
    Swim Café
    1357 West Chicago Ave.
    Chicago, IL 60642

    http://www.swimcafe.com

They will save a corner of the café for us, for up to 10 people (although I'm certain more can be accommodated if necessary). No RSVP necessary, just show up and we'll play! Bring a board if you have one. Please be prepared to buy something from the café in return for our space, but they seemed very relaxed about it... no minimum purchase or anything like that.

    Can't wait! See you there!

Count me in! I can bring a board.

I can come, but can only stay for half. I'll need to leave around 2:30 pm for another event. I can bring a board if needed.

Just a bump to remind folks to come join us at Swim Cafe this Sunday!

I'm so sorry, but I have a nasty cold and I don't want to give anyone my cooties. :(

I hope you're feeling better soon, PL! But sad we won't see you...

There doesn't seem to be a lot of attendees for Sunday. I was going to leave early and Izzy will too if she's going to the same event as me. Any thought of cancelling? I'm thinking that I'm not going to attend afterall since I'm a bit overscheduled this weekend and will be transporting food. Sorry.

Are you kidding? Chouxfly and I will go play by ourselves then... if anyone wants to show up, we'll happily start another game!

Sorry it turned out to be such a bad day for folks, and hope we can get it going another time.

Well, it was just me and Chouxfly. Swim Cafe had a nice "Lazy Sunday Plate" with brie, fig jam, bleu cheese spread, bacon and bread (and they even had gluten-free!). We played Scrabble, Set and Ricochet Robot. Too bad we couldn't find any other LTHers to join us... but it was a beautiful day and it worked out great for us.

What do you guys think... should we try again in a few weeks, or is this just too dorky an idea for this group?

Not too dorky, never! Just ended up being a bad weekend for me. It will get tougher as we near June and graduation season. I say you play it by ear. April 22nd is the dessert exchange.

    Can't it be both?

    I'd love to try again.
