Khan's Empire expanding Westward

Just stopped in to get some of the infamous Chicken Boti to go, and Mr. Khan wanted to
share
that his new restaurant will be opened in a few weeks ('n Shallah).
His new place will seat 80, and will be called Khan's Pita Inn
Khan's Pita Inn will serve Pakistani Food, Arabic Food and American Fast Food like Gyros.
We discussed vegetarian options, and he assured me there will be plenty of offerings.
We also discussed making his Boti Recipe as a "Shwarma"....as well as a Chapli Kebab made with
ground Mushrooms, Eggplant and other vegetarian ingredients.

All of the food will be 100% Hallaal.
He showed me a full color ad in the local Pakistani Paper, announcing the opening.
As of yet he doesn't have a Phone Number secured....so the ad showed his existing
Khan's BBQ phone number.

Khan BBQ Spinoff Changes Name

From the We-Had-A-Feeling-This-Was-Coming Dept. at Grub Street: we reported a couple of weeks ago on the new outpost that Devon Avenue Pakistani grilled meats favorite Khan BBQ was opening a couple of blocks west on the Indo-Pak food strip. At the time, it was set to be called Khan's Pita Inn. The trouble is, there's already a Pita Inn, or several of them on the north shore, a chain of middle eastern restaurants and bakeries. We got word from their attorney yesterday that an agreement has been reached for owner Amjad Khan to rename his place Khan's Pita Grill.

Khan Pita Grill opened Friday.



Stopped by today for a frontier beef roll.



Enjoyable but not up to the high standards set by Khan BBQ.
